McCombie Smith Architects was established in 1986, specialising in mostly domestic and domestic scale projects in and around the Rutland area. Many of the projects have involved extensions and refurbishments to either Grade I and Grade II Listed Buildings, or have involved sensitive sites within many of Rutland’s Conservation Areas. In addition the Practice has experience of a number of small scale commercial projects, especially works on community buildings.

McCombie Smith Architects has won the George Phillips award for excellence, and has a good track record on Listed Buildings and work in Conservation Areas. The practice is adept at combining modern technology with traditional forms.
